Senior Friendly Cell Phone: Samsung C3060R

Samsung has manufactured a number of good mobile phones for seniors like the Jitterbug, and the Knack. Here's anther Samsung mobile phone that is targeted towards seniors, the Samsung C3060R.

The Samsung C3060R entered the market last year and it sports a modern look unlike other mobile phones for senior citizens. Don't be fooled by its slick looks though because this handset is suitable for the elderly.

This handset is a simple and easy-to-use candy bar phone. Samsung has redesigned the operating system to include a much larger font size and basic menus.

The Samsung C3060R also comes with illuminated keypad with large keys made out of rubber. These features are useful for elderly users with weak eyesight and frail hands.

This simple but elegant mobile phone also sports a 2.2 inch TFT display with 176 x 220 pixels. Other senior-friendly features include an SOS key, FM radio and a 1.3MP camera.

That's it for this short post on the Samsung C3060R senior-friendly phone. Tune in to this blog for more news and updates that are suitable foe seniors cell phone users.

This is cool but I don't want to get anything that will remind my mom of her age. I bought her a pretty inexpensive prepaid cell phone (Net10) at Target. It's great considering she doesn't talk more than 200 minutes a month (on a cell phone) so it only costs like $15-20. Now I know I don't have to worry when she goes out!
