Jitterbug Cell Phones to Offer Emergency Response Services Next Year?

A large number of senior citizens use Jitterbug cell phones for communication. This company offers phones and services that are suitable for seniors. However, it appears that service will be added to its roster next year.

Jitterbug has announced that it has acquired MobiWatch, a company focused on developing Mobile Personal Emergency Response Services (M-PERS).

Now Mobile Personal Emergency Response Services (M-PERS) is currently only being offered on landlines. With the acquisition, this useful and life-saving service may be available on the Jitterbug cell phones for seniors.

Users of cellphones for seniors from Jitterbug will be able to quickly and effectively reach trained emergency response personnel via their handsets.

Combining the he easy-to-use Jitterbug cell phone for seniors with the intuitive and reliable personal safety services will be great for elderly users. Jitterbug customers will be able to benefit from the enhanced safety, security and the ability to stay connected with family and friends .

As this service is in the process of being developed, Senior citizens and Jitterbug users can expect the service to go live in late 2010.
